Professor who actually uses gradebook wins Nobel Prize

Professor who actually uses gradebook wins Nobel Prize

Students were thrilled Monday to hear that Karl Ford, professor of mathematics and the only professor at Marquette who posts grades on d2l, won the Nobel Prize for being the only professor at Marquette who posts grades on d2l.

Ford gained notoriety this past academic year as students appreciated his willingness to constantly update them on their performance.

“He really went above and beyond,” said Amy Brewer, a junior in the College of Arts & Sciences. “The idea of letting students know how they are doing instead of letting them be stressed out until midterms, and then again after midterms? He deserves all of the accolades.”

Ford is also nominated for several Tribbee awards. He could not be reached for comment at this time because he was too busy adding grades to gradebook.
