No shots fired near 17th Street and Kilbourn Avenue

Milwaukee is on pace for a record number of homocides

No shots were fired near 17th Street and Kilbourn Avenue, according to a Marquette University Police Department safety alert sent via text.

This followed possible shots fired reported at 5:10 p.m.

The alert said more information would be sent to MU emails when available.

Officers on the scene were not available for comment.

The Office of Marketing and Communication did not immediately respond for comment.
