A car crashed into the fence surrounding the Renee Row apartments on Kilbourn avenue around 11 p.m., causing a light pole to fall and smash on the street.

The crash happened in front of apartments 223 and 221, and caused the fence to split apart. The light pole was not uprooted from the ground, but did break into pieces upon impact with the street. It was moved to the sidewalk while respondents cleaned up.

The Department of Public Safety called the Milwaukee Police Department, who responded to the scene.
