Whole Nine Yards: Week 11 Rankings

Whole+Nine+Yards%3A+Week+11+Rankings

By Zac Bellman

QB rankings:

  1. Peyton Manning (Broncos) vs. Kansas City – Facing a defense that is 6th against the pass and 1st in sacks, Peyton will have to rely on his quick release and screen plays to avoid taking big hits.
  2. Tom Brady (Patriots) at Carolina – Carolina’s defense has stifled the passing games of most of their competition thus far, but Tom Brady tends to do well on Monday Night Football. Brady has thrown 41 touchdowns in 17 Monday Night Football games in his career.
  3. Russell Wilson (Seahawks) vs. Minnesota – Despite pulling out the win against Redskins, RG3, who has a similar skill set to Wilson, had a huge day capped by three TD’s. Expect Wilson to be able to put up similar numbers.
  4. Matt Ryan (Falcons) at Tampa Bay – Ryan has turned the ball over seven times in the last three games, but Tampa Bay is 26th in the league in sacks which means he will have time to throw.
  5. Drew Brees (Saints) vs. San Francisco – Another great QB with a bad matchup this week, but Brees has played so well recently that the 49ers may barely be able to slow him down.
  6. Nick Foles (Eagles) vs. Washington
  7. Andrew Luck (Colts) at Tennessee
  8. Joe Flacco (Ravens) at Chicago
  9. Philip Rivers (Chargers) at Miami
  10. Robert Griffin III (Redskins) at Philadelphia
  11. Cam Newton (Panthers) vs. New England
  12. Ben Roethlisberger (Steelers) vs. Detroit
  13. Matthew Stafford (Lions) at Pittsburgh
  14. Colin Kaepernick (49ers) at New Orleans
  15. Scott Tolzien (Packers) at New York Giants

RB rankings:

  1. Adrian Peterson (Vikings) at Seattle – Seattle has been stingy against running backs this year, but the three teams that committed to the run for 30 or more carries have averaged 165 yards against the Seahawks.
  2. Frank Gore (49ers) at New Orleans – The New Orleans run defense has given up an average of over a hundred yards and a touchdown in the last four games. Gore should find holes.
  3. Marshawn Lynch (Seahawks) vs. Minnesota – Lynch has averaged a whopping six yards per carry over the last two weeks and may be hitting his stride in the latter half of the season.
  4. LeSean McCoy (Eagles) vs. Washington – Washington is 31st in the league against fantasy backs, allowing double digit fantasy performances in every game this season, including their first matchup with McCoy who rushed for 184 and a touchdown.
  5. Knowshon Moreno (Broncos) vs. Kansas City – KC has given up only one rushing TD this year, but Moreno has huge value out of the backfield as a receiver especially in PPR leagues.
  6. Matt Forte (Bears) vs. Baltimore
  7. Chris Johnson (Titans) vs. Indianapolis
  8. Andre Brown (Giants) vs. Green Bay
  9. Reggie Bush (Lions) at Pittsburgh
  10. Alfred Morris (Redskins) at Philadelphia
  11. Trent Richardson (Colts) at Tennessee
  12. Eddie Lacy (Packers) at New York Giants
  13. Maurice Jones-Drew (Jaguars) vs. Arizona
  14. Fred Jackson (Bills) vs. New York Jets
  15. Ben Tate (Texans) vs. Oakland

WR rankings:

  1. Calvin Johnson (Lions) at Pittsburgh – The Steelers have been tough on fantasy wide outs this year but could be without one of their best cover corners in Ike Taylor.
  2. Andre Johnson (Texans) vs. Oakland – Johnson is turning his season around with Case Keenum at the helm, catching five touchdowns in the last two games when he had none with Matt Schaub at quarterback.
  3. Demaryius Thomas (Broncos) vs. Kansas City – Massive game for Thomas last week with three touchdowns. He’s getting at least ten targets over the last three games and making the most of just about all of them.
  4. DeSean Jackson (Eagles) vs. Washington – Nick Foles has found Jackson nine times for 230 yards and two touchdowns in the last two weeks, and the Eagles offense is firing on all cylinders lately.
  5. Victor Cruz (Giants) vs. Green Bay – Things are so bad right now in the Green Bay secondary that even when they double cover a deep pass they deflect it right into the hands of the wide receiver. See DeSean Jackson’s touchdown from last week if you don’t believe me.
  6. Vincent Jackson (Buccaneers) vs. Atlanta
  7. A.J. Green (Bengals) vs. Cleveland
  8. T.Y. Hilton (Colts) at Tennessee
  9. Antonio Brown (Steelers) vs. Detroit
  10. Larry Fitzgerald (Cardinals) at Jacksonville
  11. Jordy Nelson (Packers) at New York Giants
  12. Riley Cooper (Eagles) vs. Washington
  13. Brandon Marshall (Bears) vs. Baltimore
  14. Danny Amendola (Patriots) at Carolina
  15. Pierre Garcon (Redskins) at Philadelphia
