After the intermission, Louisville took over. Jumping out to an early 9-5 lead, the Cardinals held Marquette to only nine kills with five errors on 40 attacks. Louisville surged on to take the third set 25-15.

The final set was all Louisville. Marquette was only able to score nine kills, and made 10 errors in its final set of the tournament. The Cardinals won 25-14.
