It’s 2013, it’s a new year, and the fashion world is craving innovation. Recently I’ve noticed that the hype around the fashion industry is emerald green. The color of the year is said to be this rich, beautiful and strong shade of green. However, emerald green may not be exactly ‘new’, but it’s definitely becoming recognized in the fashion world.

Designers love this color, and I do, too. Designers such as Lanvin, Mui Mui and Gucci have been focusing this color throughout their collections. Emerald green shows strength, power and passion. This color can either be portrayed as elegant or edgy, depending on the product or how you style it.

The main thing that intrigues me about this color is its overall diversity. Emerald green literally looks good on everybody. And skin tone would look beautiful wearing a piece in this rich color. Blondes, redheads, brunettes and even black hair looks great with emerald green. We can notice this on Emma Stone, Kim Kardashian, Angelina Jolie and Scarlett Johansson

Emerald green is a great color for statement pieces in an outfit. Styling your outfit as ‘all black chic’ can play along with elaborate emerald earrings, a ring, or an elaborate scarf.
