StylePhile’s Fall Ensembles

Photos by A. Martina Ibanez-Baldor

As the nostalgia of summer leaves us, it takes with it many of the summer fashions we dearly love. Say goodbye to flip-flops, tanks and shorts. Why not swap all of these out for your favorite fall pieces? The must-haves of fall will help you to make the transition into winter weather, and to give you a fall-blues pick-me-up, add a pop of seasonal color.

When picking a color palette, soft neutrals should be your core. Jean jackets and khaki pants keep it simple for men, and a tan blouse paired with a dark blue maxi skirt is a effortless ensemble for women.

Gents, we all know that layering pieces is great for you. Especially, when you layer your favorite basketball shorts and sweatpants. If you really want to elevate your look, layer your favorite jeans and tee with a flannel shirt. This will keep the brisk temperatures at bay, and you’ll get to leave the heavy sweats at home.

For the girls, we all love a classic leather jacket. This staple-piece is often the most worn item in anyone’s closet because it adds an edge to many looks. Paired with classic Chuck Taylors and a feminine summer dress, a leather jacket amps up any look. ν
