Boot Shopping

    Happy Monday readers!

I anticipate that you are just as excited to be back at school as I am? No? Well that is okay, it’s Cyber Monday so that should help at least a little.

This Monday I am on a boot hunt. Something waterproof but stylish to wear this winter.

What are your favorite boots for winter?

Here are some that I am looking at:

There is something irresistibly classic and tomboyish about these Duck Boots from L.L. Bean. With a leather upper and rubber on the bottom, they would look so cute with a flannel shirt and skinny jeans this winter. They come in a whole variety of styles like this loafer and this extra rugged hunting boot. For only $89 you could feel like a rad lobsterman this winter. Ps. L.L. Bean always has free shipping!

These chic hiking boots from Born are made of suede, so they wouldn’t be so useful for the super wintery days. But aren’t they just so fancy? I remember being a little girl and absolutely HATING when my mom would make me wear my hiking boots, they trapped my feet in that unnecessarily painful way. But put a heel on those boots and they become a cozy shoe that I would love to wear. They’re a little pricey at $175, but would look darling with wide leg trousers and a cashmere sweater. Worth it? I think so.

What isn’t to love about a pair of rubber rain boots? I’ve seen so many women wear them in the winter in the snow, and why not? They are easy to wipe nasty salt off of and with the right socks can be just as cozy as lined boots. I’m a little obsessed with this pair from Joules, an adorable online store that I just discovered. The bows make these classic boots extra fancy and enticing, and they come in a couple different colors in case you’re not into the black ones. They run at about $87, but look like they would last forever and never go out of style. Wouldn’t they look perfect with tights and leg warmers?

What’s on your winter wish list?
