Marquette University Police Department arrested suspect Cedric Jones for charges of burglary Oct. 16.

There is evidence or confession connecting Jones to 11 off-campus burglaries through unsecured doors from Sept. 8 to Oct. 16., said MUPD Captain Jeff Kranz.

Jones was found using stolen credits cards at a local gas station near 35th Street and Wisconsin Avenue. and was taken into custody at the time. He was in possession of items from a burglary that occurred on the same day.

Jones was on parole for burglaries committed in the university area and was released from prison Sept. 5.

Recovering items from past burglaries is an ongoing process, Kranz said.
