Friday Fitness Fact

Hey Marquette, welcome to Health Nut! Here, you will find all things wellness. Wellness means physical, mental and spiritual well-being. It is taking care of the whole person, rather than just a number on a scale.

Today, we are excited to start the year with a Friday Fitness Fact. Did you know that exercising actually energizes the body? This is ironic because most people’s excuse for not exercising is that they feel too tired. These people think that exercising will further fatigue their body.

In reality, exercising does quite the opposite! A 30-minute workout will not only increase blood circulation, but release endorphins. Not to mention, you will probably be drinking water and breathing a lot, resulting in increased mental alertness.  Your body may feel sore—a better word than ‘tired’—but your mental game will be tip-top.

Sorry sleepyheads, you are out of excuses.

Thanks for reading, be sure to check in next Friday!
