More than 1,400 Marquette students and staff volunteered for the annual Hunger Clean-Up event Saturday, providing service at about 50 sites across Milwaukee.

Hunger Clean-Up began in 1989 and has grown into one of the largest one-day service projects hosted by Marquette.

Students and staff gathered in the Alumni Memorial Union Ballrooms Saturday at 8:45 a.m. A reflection was held at 1:30 p.m. after the volunteers returned.
