The women’s tennis team returns to action at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium tomorrow as the Golden Eagles face the Huskies of Northern Illinois.
Marquette enters the match with a 4-1 record (2-0 Big East) against a Husky squad that has gone 0-3 in the spring season, including a 6-1 loss against Illinois-Chicago. Marquette opened its spring season with a 6-1 victory over UIC. On Sunday, the Golden Eagles will face another opponent from our neighboring state as they travel to Urbana-Champaign for a match against the Fighting Illini.
Illinois enters the match with a 1-3 record, its only win coming last weekend in a close match with Texas A & M. After getting a good start to the season, the Golden Eagles have been practicing consistently and working hard to keep their record in the green, hoping to come away with another couple of wins this weekend.
