The length of your shorts matters

By the time you reach… oh… 18, it’s time to put away the shortie shorts from Hollister and trade them in for something a little more mature (and not to mention, flattering). It can be hard to find shorts that don’t squeeze your thighs in that terrible spot where thighs should not be squeezed, and it is even more difficult to find a pair that you aren’t constantly pulling down your legs all day.

    But it can be done.

This spring, give up the one-inch inseam, ripped shorts that you wore in high school and try these three pairs instead.

    1. GAP 1969 raw-edge denim shorts: If you’re a participant in the spring colored denim craze, then these shorts should do the trick. The slightly frayed edges make them perfect for a walk by the lake while still covering a little more skin. They come in pink and green as well, but as a yellow lover, I think this one is my fave. $49.95.

    2. H&M denim shorts: High waisted pants are my favorite. They make you feel feminine and classic in a sort of Audrey Hepburn way and will never leave you with a muffin top. These pretty ones from H&M come in a slimming black color and would look pretty with a tucked in blouse and wedge heels. $24.95

    3. J. Crew scalloped short: I’m a little obsessed with this dressed up short that looks like a skirt. The pretty scalloped hem at the bottom makes it a perfect short for work as well as a night out. It’s particularly enchanting in the “chill” color. The only downside is it’s a little pricey at $118.00. Is it worth it? I’m tempted to say yes.

What shorts will you be wearing this spring?

As always, check back on Pinterest throughout the week for more great shorts finds.
