At 9:49 p.m., Department of Public Safety officers caught a 49-year-old man not affiliated with Marquette as he was removing a chain from a red- and black-colored Huffy mountain bike outside the Strack II apartment building. When DPS officers asked the man what he was doing, he turned to them with a saw in his hand, and claimed that the bike was his. The man then said, "So what, you got me," and admitted that he was trying to steal the bike. The Milwaukee Police Department arrived on scene and the subject was taken into custody for theft.

At 7:56 p.m., a 20-year-old male student reported that his finance book was stolen from where he was studying on the third floor of Memorial Library. The student had stepped outside to take a phone call. The estimated loss was $90.
