The completion of pile-driving on the new parking structure at North 13th and West Wells streets was delayed by a week and a half due to equipment problems.

The OPUS North foreman said that as of Monday, the pile-driving was complete and no more noise would be coming from the area.

However, he said the next phase of the project, which involved the laying of the foundation for the structure, should start soon. Since 18-wheel vehicles were needed to bring in the parts necessary for the structure, he said he expected traffic to “slow to a crawl. The noisiest part of this is over.”
