Trouble from behind the arc does not hold Eagles back from success

When senior Crystal Weaver drained a three-pointer for the Golden Eagles with 16:10 left in the first half, it would be the last sniff the team would have at a successful three pointer, as it ended the game missing the last 14 three-point attempts. In the game senior Kelly Schwerman, who was shooting 57 percent from three-point range, finished the game 0-for-4 from the land of plus one.

Though Schwerman was off her shot, co-captain Carolyn Kieger knows Schwerman will not have too many days like Saturday.

“Kelly is our best shooter, and this is not going to happen very much for Kelly,” Kieger said. “She knows we have her back and those shots are going to fall.”
