Eagles look to atone for last weekend’s loss with a marquee victory over ranked opponent

If Wisconsin vs. Marquette basketball tickets selling for more than $250 a pop on eBay says anything, then it indicates Wisconsinites are taking added interest this year in the state's fiercest college rivalry.

The No. 11 Badgers (8-1) come to the Bradley Center Saturday to face the No. 17 Golden Eagles (9-1) and battle before a sellout crowd. This game marks the third time in the teams' 113 meetings that both will be ranked when they square off.

"There's no way to downplay it," Marquette head coach Tom Crean said. "It is what it is. It's a big deal, and it happens once a year. That's the only way it's going to happen. You know, it's Marquette-Wisconsin. It'd be crazy for me to come up here and try to say, 'Well it's just another game, it's just one of 30.' It's not. It's a big game."
