With fall slowly coming to an end it’s time to start bundling on the layers. With Marquette University being so close to the lake, we MU students have a hard time trying to look fashionable while going outside in the winter. Most of our clothing consists of puffy jackets, boots and scarfs. It gets annoying having to bundle up every weekend when going out and then having to hold our coats around at events throughout the night. To make life a bit easier velvet clothing is a great option to wear on a night out with friends.
Velvet clothing is soft and has a smooth texture. The tight stitching prevents harsh wind seeping through, helping you stay warm . Velvet clothing has a variety of different options and styles. There are the basic velvet dresses, skirts and crop tops but now theres even velvet shoes, headbands, scarfs, overalls, rompers and shorts. Velvet clothing is a great option for the holidays as well. Wear a red or green skater dress with nude tights or black flower tights, a great style to rock at Christmas. Even a black velvet dress is great option for New Years parties. Velvet pants or leggings are also another way to versatile your wardrobe while staying warm!
