Urban artwork gives downtown MKE some color

Fitz and the Tantrums is currently touring to promote their 2017 self-titled album, featuring the hit single “Handclap.” AJR has toured with Fitz and the Tantrums before as well as other artists such as Demi Lovato, Fifth Harmony and last year’s Homecoming artist, American Authors.

Now, the fashion blogger, art director and content creator has over 134K followers on Instagram alone. As a creative based in Minneapolis, Furlong is someone I look up to because the Midwest doesn’t get a lot of credit from the fashion industry. From her blog to social media accounts, her brand is clean, aesthetically pleasing and authentic. Furlong's style is very “fashion it girl” to me, and I’m obsessed.

Looking at style icons such as Solange and Zendaya their personalities and sense of self shows through their clothing. Sometimes what they wear is enough to inspire others. Solange's wedding photos (and outfit), for example, inspired this shoot.
