In fall of last year, MUPD was in the process of hiring a mental health professional.

On-campus 288 numbers are not working, a Marquette University Police Department alert said. The alert was sent to students around 7:33 p.m. Tuesday.

“MUPD and LIMO services are functioning normally if called from a non-MU phone or cell phone,” the alert said.

All 288 phone lines became fully operational around 8:25 p.m., a safety alert said.

WE Energies did not provide comment on the situation.

University spokesperson Chris Stolarski said he has no further information at this time.
