Women’s tennis head coach Brett Barnett announced the signing of incoming freshman Lizzie Stuckslager, a Mequon, Wisconsin native and three-time WIAA State Doubles Champion. She joins the program after a decorated career at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School.
Stuckslager is one of the most accomplished high school players in recent Wisconsin tennis history. She is a three-time WIAA State Doubles Champion in 2022, 2023 and 2025. She was also a three-time WIAA Greater Metro Conference Doubles Player of the Year during those same years. She earned back-to-back spots on the WIAA Greater Metro Conference All-Academic Team in 2024 and 2025 as well.
The Milwaukee native lettered in tennis all four years at Divine Savior Holy Angels under head coach Melissa Gebhardt, compiling a combined singles and doubles record of 116-20 across her varsity career. She was elected co-captain in both her junior and senior seasons in 2024 and 2025.
Stuckslager was also a key contributor to her team’s success as the Dashers reached the WIAA Team State Semifinals in 2022 and won the WIAA Greater Metro Conference Championship that same year.
Stuckslager also gained extensive national experience on the USTA circuit, accumulating a career singles and doubles record of 198-183 in sanctioned competition spanning from 2015 through 2025.
“It’s great that Lizzie is going to play at Marquette,” Barnett said. “She is a very well-rounded player and has been the top doubles player in Wisconsin for the last four years. She is a hard worker, and I see her being a player that will continue to improve at a fast rate in college. Lizzie adds more depth to our team and will fit in very well with our returners and other new players.”
