Two days after Marquette women’s basketball recruit Destiny Strother reopened her recruitment, fellow Class of 2023 guard Jordan King made the decision to recommit to Megan Duffy’s Marquette program Wednesday.

King is a 5-foot-11 guard from Rockton, Illinois. She averaged 21 points, seven rebounds, two assists and four steals per game as a junior in high school. She was named the most valuable player of her conference and was a second-team all-state honoree that year as well.

Former MU head coach Carolyn Kieger had high praise for the incoming freshman upon her commitment.

“Jordan will be college ready when she steps foot on campus. She has a very high basketball IQ with a second to none work ethic,” Kieger said in a statement in November. “She is a triple threat. She is also a relentless rebounder from the perimeter.”

King was one of the first members to sign to the Class of 2023 and is one of the first to announce she is fully committed to Megan Duffy’s program.
