Marquette men’s golf finished third (274-284-291-849, 15-under-par) at the Chatham Hills Invitational in Westfield, Indiana, last weekend.
This also marks the conclusion of the fall 2018 campaign for the Golden Eagles. The squad competed in five invitationals throughout the season, notching two team victories.
Senior Englishman Oliver Farrell led the Golden Eagles at Chatham Hills, finishing fifth (68-69-75-212, 4-under-par) place individually. Farrell consistently improved throughout the year and looks to continue his momentum into the spring 2019 campaign.
Freshman Tyler Leach was not far behind Farrell, concluding his first fall season tied for sixth (69-73-71-213, 3-under-par) place individually.
Sophomore Hunter Eichhorn and junior Matt Murlick were close behind Farrell and Leach as well, each notching a tied for 12th (69-70-75-214, 2-under-par) (70-73-71-214, 2-under-par) place finish individually.
Head coach Steve Bailey and the Golden Eagles now buckle up for the long Wisconsin winter without any events until the Marquette Alumni Match Feb. 2, 2019 in Naples, Florida.
