Senior Hope Werch has now earned her second All-East honor, while this is the first honor and first season in the BIG EAST for transfer graduate student Taylor Wolf and transfer graduate student Savannah Rennie.
Werch was one of two players on Marquette’s team this season to reach over 100 kills and digs, she tallied up 101 kills and 103 digs. Transferring from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay, Wolf’s first year in the BIG EAST consisted of leading the team in kills with 123, averaging about 2.8 kills per set. Wolf also finished second in digs behind junior Katie Schoessow with 135. She also had over 100 kills digs, along with Werch. Wolf was also named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honors twice this season. She averaged 3.42 points per frame, which ranked 10th in the BIG EAST, due to her role as a setter in Marquette’s offense. Rennie, a University of California transfer, hit over .300% on the year, at .325, which ranked fifth in the BIG EAST Conference. She also averaged two kills and one block per set, along with adding 14 service aces.
