Power outage across campus, second time this week

A Marquette University Police Department safety alert issued at 6:21 p.m. said there have been power outages reported in several buildings across campus. This is the second power outage this week. The alert stated that it is unknown when the power will be restored.

University spokesman Chris Stolarski said he has no additional information regarding the outage at this time.

The WE Energies power outage hotline said the first report they received was at 6:14 p.m. WE Energies said that they were working on restoring power quickly and safely, and that the cause is unknown.

The power “has been fully restored to campus”, a safety alert issued at 8:45 p.m by MUPD, said. WE Energies had said the power was to be restored by 9:30 p.m.
