Yes Marquette ! Shame on the alderman for putting you on media blast. This is not a private issue and the state needs to step up rather than passing the buck to others and expecting them to fix the problem and pay for it. A vacant building is a huge liability risk and doors just can’t be opened. This is exactly why things don’t get done.
Did the state offer to rent the building? Nope
Did the state approach the private entity to figure out solution? Nope
Did the state have a solid plan for action and money? Nope
They instead went right to the media to put you on blast! Shame on them and their behavior….
Dually noted for election time ! Will make sure to vote on officials whom can do their job done appropriately (with solid solutions and plans) rather than passing the buck to everyone else.
