Men’s golf finished in third (289-302-277-868, 4-over-par) place overall this week in the Marquette Intercollegiate at Erin Hills. This invite was the team’s only home competition of the season.
Sophomore sensation Hunter Eichhorn led the Golden Eagles with a third-place finish (71-72-67-210, 6-under-par). His performance was an improvement compared to previously being tied for 20th at the Windon Memorial Classic.
Senior Englishman Oliver Farrell was not too far from Eichhorn’s performance, notching an eighth-place (71-74-70-215, 1-under-par) individual finish.
Freshman Connor Brown trailed behind Eichhorn and Farrell, tying for 25th (73-74-74-221, 5-over-par) individually. Tyler Leach took a step back from his recent hot stretch, finishing tied for 45th (73-83-70-226, 10-over-par) overall despite a strong final round.
Head coach Steve Bailey and the Golden Eagles now look ahead to their final fall season invitational, the Chatham Hills Collegiate in Westfield, Indiana. That tournament is set for Sunday.
