Marquette kicked off what will be a tough week of volleyball with a 3-0 (25-13, 25-23, 25-17) sweep of University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Tuesday night.
As a team, Marquette hit .372 and was led by Allie Barber, who tallied 13 kills and hit at a .458 clip. Barber has already tallied 156 kills on the year. She also led the way defensively by getting eight block assists, as the Golden Eagles dominated the net with a whopping 14 blocks.

Marquette was dominant in the first set, holding the Panthers to a -.057 hitting percentage and easily winning the set, 25-13.
The second set would be tougher for Marquette though. The Golden Eagles let the Panthers score three unanswered points, giving UWM a 19-18 lead and forcing Marquette head coach Ryan Theis to call a timeout. With the score tied at 23, Marquette scored on a Haak kill and then was gifted two free points on UWM errors to take the set 25-23.
Marquette got back to its dominant ways in the third set by hitting .448 and taking the set 25-17.
The Golden Eagles will head down to Madison to take on the Badgers on Thursday at 7 p.m.
