When furs go from classic to modern:
With Fashion Week shows and reviews approaching quite rapidly, I found myself viewing some of the most eye-catching accessories I have seen in awhile. I was immediately drawn to the elaborate but subtle uses of fur. I have always loved fur growing up but figured it was too glamorous for a day-to-day look and I wasn’t sure how to incorporate it in my wardrobe.
The key takeaway is the use of versatility. The designers didn’t showcase many fur coats, but instead fur pieces–Such as scarves that can be worn in more ways than one. Eagerly I begin searching for similar pieces that I could throw on to make any look more stylish.
Above, designer Jason Wu showcases many neutral, black and gray furs draped over coats and even tied with a belt to accentuate the waist. It adds layers and a gradient effect to the most simple outfits and colors. Even if it was part of the garment, the illusion made it looks effortless.
