The Big East released it’s full conference schedule today, including five Saturday home games for Marquette.
For the second season in a row Marquette will be kicking off their Big East slate with a New Year’s Eve away match-up against DePaul. It’s a less intimidating start than Creighton was last year. The game against the Blue Demons will be the first chance to see sophomore Luke Fischer, who must sit out non-conference play due to the timing of his transfer last season.
The first string of games is a tough run for Marquette. The Golden Eagles will face Providence, Georgetown, Creighton and Xavier all in a two week span.
There is only one home conference match-up during winter break, the team’s conference home opener against Providence. The last game of the regular season, senior night vs. DePaul, is during spring break.
