The women’s soccer team pushed its winning streak to four with a 2-0 victory on the road over Western Michigan Sunday.

Becky Ryan scored her third goal of the season, which is tops for Marquette this season. Her goal came in the 54th minute and was assisted by Ashley Bares. Bares sent a cross to the back post and Ryan headed it in past the Broncos goalkeeper.

Junior defender Lauren Thut scored the first goal of her career off a long free kick from just inside midfield in the 59th minute. Redshirt sophomore Natalie Kulla stopped all six shots faced and earned her sixth shutout of the season.

Marquette now boasts a record of 7-2 and will travel to Morgantown, W.Va., to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers Thursday.
