Last night ‘The xx” came to town, their first time playing in the great city of Milwaukee. The show was completely sold out and attracted Milwaukee xx fans of all types and ages. From older upper-class businessmen and women to belligerently drunk teens. The concert was held at the Pabst, which from my experience is a beautiful venue, filled with beautiful people, who line up and gather to witness some beautiful shows. Going to shows of such nature make me realize how much culture Milwaukee really encompasses. Not only in the extravagant venues and shows but in the people that attend the shows. Every time I immerse myself into a venue (which has been quite a bit this year) I see so many fashion forward individuals who aren’t afraid to rock the newest trends, or even sport trends of their own. So many unique hip and alternative fashions, merging together all into the same atmosphere. It’s almost impossible not to be inspired. Shows are becoming my style muse. Whenever you feel like your looks are becoming too dull and monotonous, I strongly encourage you to attend a show and take a look at what Milwaukee fashionistas and fashionistos have to offer. Music aside, you’ll get something out of it. Take a step inside and absorb the creative energy. Every direction you look you’ll find someone who takes pride in self expression and individual style. You’re bound to come out inspired in some way. Unfortunately I didn’t bring my camera to the show last night, but these are a few trends that really caught my eye:
