The university announced an increase of $1,330 for tuition during the 2017-2018 academic school year Jan. 23.

A new position for vice provost of enrollment management was announced May 9 by Provost Daniel Myers. Dr. John Baworowsky will assume the new position July 1.

Baworowsky’s responsibilities will include conducting a search for a new dean of undergraduate admissions. He will also work alongside the undergraduate admissions office and the Graduate School, other colleges and professional schools. The registrar and financial aid departments will report to him.

Myers said this new position is critical to the overall enrollment strategy at Marquette as it will help generate enrollment-based objectives as part of the university’s strategic plan.

Baworowsky brings over 30 years of experience in a vice provost position.

He currently works as vice president for enrollment management and student success at Westminster College in Salt Lake City. He also serves as a senior associate consultant for Ruffalo Noel Levitz, the largest higher education firm in the U.S.

Having attained his bachelor’s degree from Loyola University Chicago and his doctorate from Saint Louis University, Baworowsky has experience with various Jesuit institutions.
