Undergraduate tuition will increase by $1,280 for the 2016-’17 academic year, according to University President Michael Lovell in a university news brief released today.

Lovell said prices for summer school and part-time students will not increase for the next academic year. The 2015-’16 academic year also had a 3.5 percent tuition increase.

Additionally, room and board prices will increase by an average of $220 while the student health fee will increase by $20 to become $320.

Graduate, dentistry and law students will see different tuition changes as follows:

• Graduate School and Graduate School of Management: per-credit increase of $25
• Graduate College of Education students: per-credit increase of $20
• Dentistry students: annual tuition increase of $2,260
• Full-time law students: annual tuition increase of $1,260

The changes were approved by the university’s Board of Trustees.
