For the majority of Marquette’s campus, coming back to school this week has had a “welcome home” element to it. As students returned to the streets of Milwaukee, “college families” reunited, and a home-away-from-home reasserted itself.
For one group, this week’s experiences have been quite different. This year’s class of incoming freshmen hasn’t lived here yet, or formed those college families. But while they might not quite know it yet, this week is merely the first of many that will turn this campus into their home as well.
Below, we’ve compiled a selection of photos from last week’s orientation event, for you to peruse at your leisure. They’ll be going up on our Facebook page later today as well, so if you want to head over there and tag yourselves, that’s fine too. After all, while most of us won’t admit it, it’s sort of nice for us upperclassmen to look back at our “golden days.”
