At 12:15 p.m., officers responded to the Wells Street Structure to meet with a Milwaukee Police Department officer regarding possible drugs located inside a student’s vehicle. Information was passed on to MPD by a reliable informant who suggested the drugs might be in the vehicle. On the same day at 6:59 p.m., Department of Public Safety officers encountered the student, who told the officers that he had been taken into custody after MPD discovered a quarter pound of marijuana in his vehicle. The student has a pending court date.
At 3:57 p.m., a student reported that an unknown person removed her unsecured, unattended property from Schroeder Hall. The student said her laptop and music player were removed from her room between 3 and 5 p.m. on April 17. MPD assistance was declined. The loss is estimated at $820.
April 20
At 7:32 p.m., a student attempted to gain entry to the Girl Talk concert in the Alumni Memorial Union using a fake ticket. The individual stated he had waited in line since 6:30 a.m. on the day of distribution, but later changed his story and told officers he purchased the ticket from another student. The individual was denied access to the event.
