Another freshman, Jose Carlos Gutierrez Crowley took the consolation championship in Flight A after dropping his first match. Gutierrez Crowley also beat a Butler Bulldog, this time Chris Herron, 7-5, 7-6 in the championship match.
The doubles team of freshman Otavio Perim and sophomore Jonathan Schwerin bowed out in the semifinals losing 9-8 after a tightly contested match.
