MPD responded to a robbery in the 2100 block of West Michigan Street around 10 p.m. Wednesday night.
According to a University e-mail alert sent Thursday, a Marquette student was approached by four male subjects, who displayed a weapon and demanded personal property.,”The Milwaukee Police Department and the Department of Public Safety are looking for four men who attempted to rob a Marquette student.
MPD responded to a robbery in the 2100 block of West Michigan Street around 10 p.m. Wednesday.
According to a University News Briefs e-mail sent Thursday, a Marquette student was approached by four male subjects, who displayed a weapon and demanded personal property.
No property was taken and the suspects fled the scene when a vehicle arrived. The victim was not physically injured, the alert said.
The Milwaukee Police Department contacted the Department of Public Safety Thursday regarding the robbery and provided a description of the four subjects.
According to MPD, the descriptions are:
Subject 1: Black male, early 20s, 6-feet-1 inch, 180 to 200 pounds, dark complexion, wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
Subject 2: Black male, early 20s, 5-feet-10 to 5-feet-11 inches, 150 to 170 pounds, wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
Subject 3: Black male, early 20s, 5-feet-9 to 5-feet-10 inches, 150 pounds, wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt.
Subject 4: Black male, no other description.

The alert also reminded Marquette students to continue diligent personal safety measures, such as being aware of your surroundings and refraining from traveling alone. Students are also encouraged to utilize LIMO vans and Safety Patrol escorts.
