According to the e-mail,which was sent around 4 p.m., two female suspects approached the victim in the off-campus neighborhood in the 800 block of North 15th Street and demanded personal property. The victim refused, and the suspects then attempted to use force, the report said. The victim is uninjured.
According to the report, both suspects are black females in their late teens or early twenties.
A white or cream colored, late model station wagon was also reported to have been involved in the incident, the report said.
DPS officers delivered hard copies in the nearby off-campus neighborhood of the safety alert, which included safety tips from the DPS regarding personal safety measures, said Sue Cooper, Department of Public Safety crime prevention officer.
The Milwaukee Police Department, as well as the Department of Public Safety, were contacted. Anyone with any information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact either department.
