The lighter side of sports

On one hand, he had just sealed another major coaching achievement in his prestigious career. But there's that other thing. Now he has to shave his head bald. Substance-abusing-pop-stars-gone-crazy bald.

This stems from a promise Izzo made to fans before the season. Here's proof.

"I think I did say that," Izzo told the Detroit Free Press.

Hey Tom, look on the bright side. You're going to be way more aerodynamic.

The conference title-sealing win came against none other than everyone's favorite coach, Tom Crean, and his 6-23 (1-16 Big Ten) Indiana Hoosiers. This year, Indiana is either last or second from last in virtually every major conference statistical category, including: scoring offense, scoring defense, scoring margin, free throw percentage, field goal percentage and the list goes on. Aren't statistics fun?

I know it's too late for Buzz Williams to do this for the regular season, but I think if Marquette can win the Big East tournament, he also should shave…hmmm. Problem. Well, maybe he should add hair. Like a jheri curl.

Think about it, that's all.
