Freshman Olga Fischer posted two singles victories in the matches, extending her streak to 10.,”The No. 75 Marquette women's tennis team notched two conference victories last weekend, sweeping Villanova 7-0 on Friday before defeating Rutgers 4-3 on Sunday. The wins improve the team's conference record to 3-0 and overall record to 10-4.

Freshman Olga Fischer posted two singles victories in the matches, extending her streak to 10. Both of Fischer's wins came at the No. 2 slot, winning 6-0, 7-5 over Villanova and 6-3, 6-3 against Rutgers.

Sophomore Rachael Hush returned to action against Rutgers, partnering with freshman sister Gillian Hush for an 8-5 victory at No. 3 doubles. Rachael Hush sat out of the previous two matches after injuring her rotator cuff against Illinois State earlier this month.

Junior Kylie Moore also came back against the Scarlet Knights after retiring with an injury against Wisconsin, notching an 8-4 victory with freshman Paola Calderon at No. 1 doubles.

The Golden Eagles next face Illinois on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Helfaer Tennis Stadium.
