The Marquette women's basketball team beat Cincinnati 67-61 Wednesday night, giving the program its 500th overall win. The victory over the Bearcats gave the Golden Eagles back-to-back wins for the first time since beating Northwestern and Kansas consecutively in early December.
Angel Robinson led Marquette (15-11, 6-6 Big East) with 17 points, along with six assists and five rebounds. Two other Golden Eagles also scored in double figures; Krystal Ellis and Jessica Pachko chipped in 15 and 14 points, respectively.
Erin Monfre, coming off a career-high 21 points, hit two 3-pointers and finished with six points and six rebounds.
The Golden Eagles have won four straight contests against the Bearcats and are 10-2 all-time in Cincinnati.
Cincinnati (13-12, 3-9 Big East) received 16 points apiece from Jill Stephens and Shanasa Sanders.
The Bearcats have not won a game since Jan. 17 against Seton Hall.
Marquette will return home Saturday to take on the St. John's Red Storm at 3 p.m.
