Marquette Student Government passed a proposal to allocate $5,000 to club sports at Thursday's meeting.

The resolution passed 25-1 and resolves an ongoing controversy that began on Nov. 13 when MUSG failed to pass a bill that was the last opportunity for club sports to receive funding for second semester activities.

The original amount club sports was supposed to receive in November was $3,850. However, members of the MUSG Budget Committee decided some additional Student Organization Allocation funds that had never been requested by organizations should be given to club sports.
