At 5:12 p.m., Carpenter Tower Hall staff members alerted the DPS of an 18-year-old male resident suspected of having a knife in his possession. When the officers arrived at the suspect's room, the student was compliant and handed over a CRKT brand pocketknife with a 4-inch blade. The student stated that he didn't know possessing the knife was in violation of university rules, and the knife was confiscated for the remainder of the school year.
