The women's basketball team dropped to 12-9 overall and 3-4 in the Big East after falling at No. 21 Pittsburgh 86-54 Friday.

Krystal Ellis scored 13 points and was the only Golden Eagle to score in double figures. Angel Robinson went 2-for-18 from the field, finishing with nine points.

Marquette shot a dismal 26.2 percent compared to Pittsburgh's even 50 percent. For the second game in a row, the Golden Eagles could not find their outside game, making just three of their 18 3-point attempts. Marquette shot 18 percent from three against Syracuse last week.

The Panthers were led by Big East leading scorer Shavonte Zellous, who dropped in 31 points. She is averaging just over 26 points a game in conference play. Pepper Wilson finished with a double-double, tallying 13 points and 17 rebounds.

Marquette was out-rebounded 50-36 and recorded only nine assists on the night.

With the loss, Marquette is now tied for eighth in the Big East with Cincinnati.

The Golden Eagles continue their road trip with a game at South Florida tonight. Ellis will likely become Marquette's all-time leading scorer, needing just three points to pass Abbie Willenborg's record of 1,818 points.
