Two students victims of armed robbery

An armed robbery was reported at the intersection of Kilbourn Avenue and 18th Street on Saturday at 8:01 p.m.

Two 21-year-old male students were walking eastbound on the south side of Kilbourn at 7:58 p.m. when they noticed two unknown suspects walking behind them, according to Department of Public Safety Capt. Russ Shaw.

Shaw said the students turned around to see who the unknown suspects were, when one of the suspects yelled, "Give up your [property]."

The suspects then grabbed one of the students and took his wallet.

According to the students, one of the suspects was armed with a black revolver held in his hand and down his side.

After the suspects stole the student's wallet, they ran westbound on Kilbourn until they entered a dark-colored Jeep Grand Cherokee and fled the area, Shaw said.

The victim's wallet, credit cards, debit card, IDs and $60 cash were reported stolen. Neither victim was injured.

The suspects were described as 16- to 20-year-old black males wearing hooded jackets and dark jeans.
