DPS Reports

At 1:24 a.m., Public Safety was contacted after a resident assistant detected the scent of marijuana on the fifth floor of McCormick Hall. DPS located the room where the scent was coming from, and found a 19-year-old male student in possession of two bottles of alcohol, false identification and a small, blue zip lock bag with traces of an illegal substance.,”Jan. 22

At 1:24 a.m., Public Safety was contacted after a resident assistant detected the scent of marijuana on the fifth floor of McCormick Hall. DPS located the room where the scent was coming from, and found a 19-year-old male student in possession of two bottles of alcohol, false identification and a small, blue zip lock bag with traces of an illegal substance. Without reservation, the student gave DPS officers the first name of a 19-year-old student he bought the substance from in Carpenter Tower. After DPS located the second individual, they found a stash of Zig-Zag brand rolling papers, a 500 gram digital weighing scale and three zip lock bags filled with a green leafy substance. The Milwaukee Police Department was contacted and the student was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jan. 23

At 4:45 p.m., two 20-year-old male students reported property stolen from their Straz Tower residence over winter break. The first student returned to find his electric razor and case valued at $80 stolen and replaced with a razor different from the original. The other student found his 4-gigabyte flash drive, which the student stated held over $1,000 worth of music, replaced with a 1-gigabyte flash drive. The estimated total loss is $1,105.

Jan. 25

At 2:57 p.m., a resident turned in a piece of suspicious property to the front desk of Schroeder Hall. The property was a black guitar case, which contained a small bag of marijuana in it. DPS found the owner of the case, a 19-year-old male student, who said he accidentally left the case in the hall the previous Friday and forgot about it. MPD was contacted and the student was issued a municipal citation for the possession of marijuana.
