1. Alanis Morissette: "My Humps" by the Black Eyed Peas
Maybe slowing this song waaay down was a coping mechanism for her recent breakup with Ryan Reynolds, meant for no one to ever see or hear. Ever.
2. Jessica Simpson: "These Boots Are Made For Walking" by Nancy Sinatra
I don't understand why she can't just sing like a normal person. And the video undermines the song. Ask a guy who just watched the video if he liked the song and he'll respond, "I didn't hear any music." Way to pair a woman-empowerment song with a wet string bikini, Jessica. Gets people thinking.
3. Madonna: "American Pie" by Don McLean
Why mess with a classic? But since Madonna thinks she can remake anything, including herself every three years, she botched a perfectly good song.
4. Sheryl Crow: "Sweet Child O' Mine" by Guns N' Roses
Her voice couldn't get as high and she can't play the guitar as well. Crow's version wasn't terrible, Guns N' Roses was just that much better.
5. Limp Bizkit: "Faith" by George Michaels
I might be alone on this one, but I love George Michaels, especially when he was in Wham!. Fred Durst must have thought, "What does a peppy, upbeat, happy song need more of?" Screaming, what else?
