As some feedback on the recent article concerning the Chris Farley Scholarship in the Tribune on Feb. 15, I wanted to post in that there were some startling errors that need correction or at least deserve some consideration:
Error in journalistic judgment: You mentioned as a "funny" story the incident with the smoke bomb that started a fire. If you remember, the Seton Hall fire started as a prank. Students were killed, injured and some are in prison for that "entertainment." The Farley event luckily did not end that way but is strikingly similar. I am sure if prodded, Mr. Rownd had other stories which may have been more appropriate.
Error of omission: You did not supply the correct name for the College of Communication. The correct name used should at least be the Diederich College of Communication out of respect to the large donation made to Marquette.
Osicek is a '79 alumnus of the College of Liberal Arts.
Note from the editor: Tribune style for the Diedrich College of Communication is "College of Communication."
