Man found dead in barn where tractor was left running

MENOMONIE, Wis. (AP) – A 77-year-old man was found dead in a barn Monday along with 25 cattle and a dog in a barn where a tractor was left running, authorities said.

The Dunn County medical examiner's office said a preliminary investigation showed the deaths may have been due to carbon monoxide poisoning from the tractor exhaust in the enclosed barn in the town of Wilson.

The name of the victim was withheld pending notification of relatives.
